Below are the updated hours of operation effective October 1, 2024:  

• Selt Road Compactor Site is permanently closed.
• Welcome Road Compactor Site is ONLY open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 
• Hood Road Compactor Site is ONLY open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

Please utilize the other nearby Compactor Sites or the Transfer Station.  

All household garbage brought to a compactor site must be contained in a Coweta County Garbage Bag. 

Recyclables are accepted free of charge but separately under the County program, including mixed paper/mail.

Unless stated otherwise, all locations adhere to the county holiday schedule, including closures on:

• Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - Monday, January 15, 2024
• Memorial Day - Monday, May 27, 2024
• Independence Day - Thursday, July 4, 2024
• Labor Day - Monday, September 2, 2024
• Veteran’s Day - Monday, November 11, 2024
• Thanksgiving - Thursday, November 28, 2024 and Friday, November 29, 2024
• Christmas - Tuesday, December 24, 2024 and Wednesday, December 25, 2024
• New Year’s - Wednesday, January 1, 2025
