All transactions must be completed by closing time. Please make sure to plan your visit accordingly.

The C&D Landfill accepts:

• All non-hazardous construction and demolition debris
• Yard trimmings are also accepted
• Yard trimmings, limbs and untreated lumber will be accepted for the established tipping fee provided that they are separated from other types of waste.
  • Please note that any entity that deposits yard trimmings, limbs and untreated lumber combined with waste will be subject to a $100.00 charge

The C&D Landfill does NOT accept: 

• Pressure treated wood
• Any hazardous items
• Any loads contaminated with household trash or other non-acceptable items
• Household trash (Household trash is ONLY accepted at the Transfer Station)

As a convenience to our residents, Coweta County operates a Construction and Demolition Landfill (C&D) located at 164 Essie Mae Walker Road

How it works?

The C&D Landfill is a pay as you use operation.

Your vehicle is weighed when you enter and is weighed again as you leave. 

You pay based on the difference in the two weight measurements.

On August 1, 2023, the Board of Commissioners adopted the following tipping fee schedule and policy for solid waste:

• Transfer Station tipping fees per ton: $55.00
• Transfer Station minimum load (up to 727 pounds): $20.00
• Mattresses: $20.00 Mattress/Box Springs (each)
• Tires: $10.00 each
• C&D Landfill tipping fees per ton: $55.00
• C&D Landfill minimum Load (up to 727 pounds): $20.00
• 4-inch maximum diameter for Brush & Tree debris
