Coweta County takes an integrated approach to ensure residents and visitors receive the highest quality service 24 hours a day. When you call 9-1-1 with a medical emergency, an ambulance is dispatched along with first responders. Often, medical first responders will reach a scene before the ambulance arrives to assess the situation and perform first response assistance until the ambulance arrives.

Billing & Collections:

Coweta County contracts with a third-party billing contractor, Digitech, who is authorized to invoice financially responsible parties for services rendered according to the fee schedule and subject policies. These policies generally apply to pre-hospital emergency services and ancillary medical services provided by Coweta County Fire Rescue.

Hardships
Coweta County understands that there may be times when a financial hardship results from EMS services rendered. In such instances, a hardship application must be submitted for each ambulance transport fee waiver request.

Privacy
The Coweta County Fire Rescue and the billing contractor shall follow all HIPAA guidelines regarding protected health information (PHI) and provide training for all personnel.
