The goal of this multi-jurisdictional Plan is to assess the risk from natural and man-made hazards and to identify actions that may be taken in advance to reduce long-term risk to people and property. It is a federal requirement that the Plan is updated every five years and must be approved by both the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA).
