Senoia Bicycle's Saturday Road Ride

Bicycle Rides Across Georgia (BRAG) Announces 2020 Summer Route(with stops in Senoia, GA, SATURDAY and SUNDAY, February 22nd and 23rd)

Saturday, January 18, 2020

As the clock struck midnight on the New Year last week, Bicycle Ride Across Georgia announced planned cycling routes and overnight camping destinations for the weeklong 2020 Big BRAG event.

The next Big BRAG Summer ride, now in its 41st consecutive year, is scheduled to start May 30 at the top of Lookout Mountain, close to the Tennessee border. Participants will cycle backroads and paved bike trails over the next several days and have access to fully stocked rest stops every 10-20 miles, support and gear vehicles, and medics. BRAG operations move locations every day.

Participants camp along the route in Lafayette, Cave Spring, Carrollton, Senoia, and LaGrange. The trip finishes on June 6 with a celebratory lunch and festivities along the Chattahoochee River in Columbus, Ga

“This route is one of the most scenic, shortest, and most exciting BRAG has had in recent memory,” says BRAG’s Executive Director Franklin Johnson. "Last year was a pretty tough route, so we’re switching it up in 2020. The rides each day will be shorter but packed with a lot of fun, both on and off the bike."

The theme of the 2020 Big BRAG trip is “Under the Covers with BRAG.” Live entertainment each evening features bands covering the 80's, The Beatles, The Doors, Neil Young, Allman Brothers, The Cars and more.

The Bicycle Ride Across Georgia is a not-for-profit dedicated to providing affordable, quality bicycle tours in and across the state of Georgia. Established in 1980, BRAG is the second oldest across-state bicycle tour in the US and attracts riders from all around the globe. BRAG rides have covered thousands of miles and touched hundreds of towns throughout the years. Along the routes, Georgia residents open up their towns and communities to riders. The fellowship and spirit that comes along with all of BRAG rides keeps many participants coming back each year.
