Amy Godfrey was appointed Solicitor-General of Coweta County by Governor Brian Kemp in March 2024. She began working at the Coweta County Solicitor’s Office in 2006 and became Chief Assistant Solicitor in 2013. She was previously employed in the private practice of law before working at the Solicitor’s Office. Amy is 1998 magna cum laude graduate of Charleston Southern University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree.  She then earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2004. Amy was past president of the Newnan-Coweta Bar Association and was Grant Chair of the Coweta Community Foundation. Amy resides in Newnan with her husband and three children.
